
Two teenagers have been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of 32-year-old James Andrew Wise on Saturday in Augusta, while authorities continue to search for a third suspect.
Tayvioun Harden, 16, and Lucas Bradley, also 16, both from Augusta, were taken into custody on Monday. A third suspect, 18-year-old Tyrule Damario Tillman, remains at large.
Richmond County deputies were called to the Jennings Place community at 6:10 p.m. on Saturday after reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers found Wise, who was shot in the neck inside a residence. He was pronounced dead at 7:09 p.m. by Coroner Mark Bowen. Wise, known by the nickname “Baby James,” was remembered by many on social media, with friends and family mourning his loss and praising his talent as a tattoo artist.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, and the Sheriff’s Office has issued a Be On the Look Out (BOLO) for the third suspect, Tyrule Damario Tillman. Anyone with information regarding Tillman’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office tip line at (706) 821-1020.
Harden has been charged with murder and armed robbery, while Bradley faces a charge of murder. Tillman is wanted on charges of murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
Mugshots of Harden and Bradley have not been released.
