Richmond County authorities have charged a 15-year-old boy in Wednesday’s death of a 1-year-old child on Holden Drive in Augusta.

At 1:46 p.m., deputies responded to a shooting incident on the 1100 block of Holden Drive.

“Investigators have identified and arrested a 15 year old juvenile in relation to this incident,” sheriff’s Sgt. Glen Rahn said in a press release. “The juvenile has been charged as a juvenile with Felony Involuntary Manslaughter, Misdemeanor Reckless Conduct, and Misdemeanor Possession of a Handgun by a person under 18 years of age. “

Authorities say the juvenile has been detained at the Regional Youth Detention Center.

“At this stage of the investigation this incident is believed to be accidental,” Sgt. Rahn said.

No other details were released, but WRDW-TV reports that the mother of the child also has a teenage son and another toddler. Both of the teens who were questioned are friends of the teenage son.

The son is not in custody, Sheriff’s Lt. Allan Rollins told WRDW-TV

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office has said it is possible one of the teens found the gun and pulled the trigger, the TV station said.

The victim was pronounced dead at 2:15 p.m. Wednesday, Coroner Mark Bowen said. The child will be taken to the GBI Crime Lab in Atlanta for an autopsy on Thursday.

An Augusta killer is on the loose after a Sunday night killing on Norris Lane, authorities said.

Walter L. Johnson, 60, of Norris Lane (pictured), is wanted for murder in the shooting death of 50-year-old Marion Utley.

Officers responded to a shooting on Norris Lane off of 12th Street about 8 p.m. Sunday. The victim was found lying in the street with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was pronounced deceased at the scene, sheriff’s Sgt. Glen Rahn said in a press release.

The shooting happened after the suspect and victim had a verbal altercation.

“Johnson was seen leaving the scene walking north bound on 12th Street,” Sgt. Rahn said. “Johnson is to be considered armed and dangerous.”

Warrants are being obtained for Murder and Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Crime.

Anyone with information on Johnson’s whereabouts is asked to call the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office at 706-821-1080 or 706-821-1020. Callers can remain anonymous.

Columbia County Deputy Arrested for DUI

A Columbia County deputy was busted for drunk driving Monday night by a fellow officer who stopped him for speeding and swerving on South Belair Road, authorities said.

Deputy Cody Connor admitted to having a few drinks, Sheriff Clay Whittle said in a press release.

“Based on visual cues, it was determined that Connor was most likely impaired. Connor refused all standardized field sobriety tests” and was arrested for DUI, speeding, failure to maintain lane and expired registration, the sheriff said.

“Men and women of the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office have done an excellent job establishing trust and respect in our community and this type of behavior is in complete contradiction to our public safety mission and high professional standards,” Sheriff Whittle said in the press release.

Connor, 28, of Martinez, was first employed with the sheriff’s office in August 2007 and resigned in February 2014. After working in the private sector for a few months, he was rehired on June 2014. Since his arrest Monday night, he has since been terminated, sheriff’s Capt. Steve Morris said.

Connor was released from jail after posting bail on a $4,400 bond.

A drunken idiot with a gun was captured by New Holland firefighters Tuesday night after going to the fire station and shooting into the air, shooting at his vehicle and then pointing the weapon at bystanders, authorities said.

Chad Barker, 31, of Aiken, was held until deputies arrived, and then things got crazier. While in the patrol car, he “slammed his head on the patrol car partition” and caused a major gash in his head that required a trip to the hospital before jail, sheriff’s Capt. Eric Abdullah said.

It’s unclear why Barker chose the New Holland Fire Department for his gun-shooting adventure, Capt. Abdullah said. “As far as we know, he has no connection to any of them,” he said.

Barker was charged with two counts of pointing and presenting a firearm.

According to the sheriff’s office, Barker arrived at the fire station on Camp Rawls Road about 6:15 p.m. Tuesday. From the sheriff’s office account:

“Witnesses told deputies that Chad Barker drove into the parking lot of the fire department in his own vehicle. When he exited his vehicle, he discharged a weapon into his own vehicle and then pointed the weapon at bystanders in the parking lot. Barker was confronted by fire department members who were able to get the weapon away from him without a struggle and detain him. …  The investigation revealed that Barker was grossly intoxicated at the time of the incident. There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident.”

An officer who guarded criminals at the Richmond County Detention Center has resigned after her arrest in a stupid shoplifting scheme at the Martinez Walmart, according to authorities.

Detention Officer Stephanie Dodaro, 33, resigned after her arrest Monday for trying to steal dozens of items from the Martinez Walmart, authorities said.

She put a long list of items from the health & beauty section in her buggy and then grabbed a storage tote from the housewares section to put them in, a sheriff’s report says.  Dodaro then went to the self checkout, rang up the tote and a few groceries and tried to leave without paying for all the stuff hidden in the tote, the report says.

An asset protection associate had been watching Dodaro and stopped her after she passed all points of sale. He escorted her back to the loss prevention officer and discovered she had tried to steal items totaling $240, a report says.

Dodaro, of Augusta, was charged with shoplifting and taken to the Columbia County Jail.

She was later released after posting bond and then went to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday morning and resigned from her position as jailer. She had worked in the Richmond County Jail for eight months, sheriff’s Sgt. Monica Belser said.

Among the items she is accused of stealing: head wraps, mascara, kids detangler, allergy relief, tweezers, lozenges, chapstick, hair spray, headache medicine, tea tree oil, scissors, deodorant, dental floss picks, bun shaper and hair pins.

Trenton Killer & Accomplice Sought; Motive Withheld

Aiken County authorities are seeking a Graniteville couple in connection with the slaying of an elderly man who was found dead in his Trenton home on Wednesday afternoon.

Donald Georgie Hurtekant, 36, of Graniteville (left), is wanted for murder and burglary, and his girlfriend Sandra Ann Marie Evans, 33, is wanted for accessory after the fact to murder. Both should be considered armed and dangerous, sheriff’s Capt. Eric Abdullah said.

The victim, whose identity was not released, was found dead on the floor of his home on the 400 block of Polks Lane in the Aiken County side of Trenton. Friends of the man have identified him as an elderly man named Claude Ward, who was charged in 2010 with attempted murder at his home (see below).

“The suspects in this case are known to the victim and we know that this is not a random act of violence. The quick actions of citizens providing information has given us an advantage in solving this senseless crime,” Sheriff Michael Hunt stated in a press release.

Aiken County investigators have discovered a motive in this case, but they said it was premature to release this information due to the nature of the investigation.

If anyone has any information on the whereabouts of Hurtekant and Evans, please call the Sheriff’s Office at (803) 648-6811 or CRIMESTOPPERS at 1-888-CRIME-SC (1-888-274-6372).

RELATED STORY: VICTIM WAS ARRESTED FOR ATTEMPTED MURDER IN 2010

Oddly enough, the victim is a former suspect in an attempted murder case from 2010. According to media reports, Ward was arrested in Augusta 2010 after deputies found a woman cut with a knife. Deputies were called to a fight on Polks Lane in Trenton and found a woman injured. Authorities say Ward had planned to pick up the woman at a Clearwater church but when she didn’t show up on time, he ended up arguing with her at his home. Ward told authorities he and the woman grabbed knives during the argument.

According to media reports, the woman was cut on her arm and shoulders during the fight and deputies reported no injuries on Ward.  He was subsequently charged, but the outcome of the case is unclear and online records show no trace of the charge, suggesting it was likely dismissed.

Ex-Commission Corey Johnson Accused of Abusing Wife; She Wants a Divorce & His Arrest

Former Augusta Commissioner Corey Johnson has been accused of domestic abuse by his wife following a night out to celebrate Cinco De Mayo, according to a sheriff’s report obtained by The Jail Report.

Shelita Johnson, 40, called 911 to their home late Tuesday, saying her husband physically harmed her after she refused to have sex with him.  Paramedics came to the house to look at the woman, who showed no visible signs of injury. Deputies told Mrs. Johnson how to seek a warrant through a pre-warrant hearing.

Mr. Johnson, 41, told deputies that he was hugging his wife and kissing her neck. “Mr. Johnson stated he grabbed her arms to keep her in the bed. Mr. Johnson stated that he never had any intention to hurt his wife. … Once his wife said stop, he stopped,” the report says.

In an interview with The Jail Report, Mrs. Johnson said she has contacted an attorney and is working on a divorce as well as criminal charges against Mr. Johnson. She spoke to The Jail Report while cleaning out her items at the family home on Woodland Avenue. She said officers were there to watch as she collected her things.

“I am going to pursue charges,” she said. “He assaulted me! He tried to rape his own wife. I got bruises.”

Mrs. Johnson said the two enjoyed a night of Cindo De Mayo with family. A Facebook post – now removed –  shows pictures from Mi Rancho Mexican Restaurant, including a selfie (shown here) by Mr. Johnson where the couple are seen smiling with two other people in the background.

At home, though, the situation turned violent, she said. Mrs. Johnson said her husband not only grabbed her and pursued sex on Tuesday night, he cursed at her and demanded that she respect him. She said his physical control of her re-aggravated an old shoulder injury.

“I am screaming for my life,” she said. “He said, ‘If you don’t want this marriage, give me my ring.’”

After screaming at him multiple times, he finally stopped and she called police, she said. She said all of this took place while her two god-children were in another room. They are 7 and she has guardianship over them, she said.

Mrs. Johnson said her husband has anger management issues that has led to counseling, but he usually quits the sessions when he hears that he has to change. She called him violent, manipulative and a smooth talker.

In a similar phone conversation, Corey Johnson said he would never commit domestic violence.

“She accused me of assaulting her, but I didn’t do that,” he said. “No assault happened there. … The only thing I did was hug her. All this stuff about me hitting her is not true.”

He admits he was hugging his wife in an attempt to have sex.

“When I got on top of her, she began to jump up and acted like she as going to hit me. And I said, ‘You are not going do this.’ She said, ‘I am going to call the police.’ I said, ‘Call the police,’” he said.

Mr. Johnson said he has never been violent.

“Everybody knows me. I was a public figure for eight years. They saw that I always carried myself with respect,” he said.

He called Mrs. Johnson “very controlling.”

“This is probably a way to destroy me, make me out to be something (I am not),” he said. “I am a gentle, kind, diplomatic person.”

Mrs. Johnson said she is planning to stay elsewhere, away from the home and plans to leave Augusta in the future.

Mr. Johnson has not been charged.

An off-duty Richmond County deputy deployed his service taser while breaking up a fight in North Augusta, authorities said.

At 7 a.m. Friday, RCSO Deputy Michael Rollins was at his residence in Aiken County, off duty, when he was advised by his wife that there was a disturbance next door, according to a RCSO press release. Dep. Rollins went outside and heard a commotion.

At 7 a.m.  the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office responded to 311 Gilmore Avenue in North Augusta in reference to the same disturbance.

Authorities say Kenneth King and John Blocker (pictured) were in a heated verbal altercation. Deputy Rollins retreated to his residence and put on his duty belt with Richmond County Sheriff’s Office credentials. Deputy Rollins returned to the front yard of 313 Gilmore Avenue.

“Deputy Rollins identified himself as a Richmond County Deputy,” RCSO sheriff’s Sgt. Monica Belser said in a press release. “Deputy Rollins ordered King to drop a brick that was in his hand, in which he immediately complied.  Blocker stated that he did not care who Rollins was and made an aggressive approach towards him. Deputy Rollins displayed his county issued Taser towards Blocker. “

Blocker attempted a karate style kick towards Deputy Rollins. Deputy Rollins deployed his Taser, striking Blocker.

The Taser deployment occurred as Aiken County’s Sergeant Mathis arrived on scene.  (This incident was recorded through Sgt. Mathis’ Dash Camera). Sgt. Mathis immediately identified Deputy Rollins as an officer by his gun belt and badge that was displayed.

Sgt. Mathis approached Blocker lying on the ground. As he began to handcuff Blocker, he became combative. Sgt. Mathis asked Deputy Rollins to re-energize the Taser. Dep. Rollins tased Blocker once more and he was then taken into custody without further incident, according to Sgt. Belser.

John Blocker 50, of North Augusta, SC, was charged with Disorderly Conduct and two counts of Assault and Battery 3rd Degree.

Dustin Clay Franks, 31, of Martinez, was charged with battery in Thursday’s assault on 28-year-old Lorenzo Cano-Tapia. The victim sustained serious injuries to his face after hitting the concrete floor face-first from the shove.

A witness told authorities that he saw Dustin Franks come into the fitness center about 6 a.m. Thursday, watch his wife and the victim from the side and then suddenly attack the wife’s friend with a punch to the back of the head.

A report says the suspect is 6’4” tall and 279 pounds. The victim is much shorter and smaller, a witness said.

“I couldn’t believe that,” witness Jeffery Ramsbotham told The Jail Report. “He hit him with a sucker punch. The guy never knew he was coming. He busted his nose, his head. I think he busted his lip. HIs knee caught the carpet and he got carpet burn.”

The suspect’s wife started screaming at her husband to stop and she got him to leave the gym, a sheriff’s report says. EMS officials came to the fitness center and treated the suspect, but it was unclear if he was hospitalized.

A message left for Dustin Franks seeking comment was not answered. A report says both the wife and her workout friend are employed by the U.S. Army. The suspect is listed as unemployed.

No Arrest: Corey Johnson & Wife Trying to Reconcile

Former Augusta Commissioner Corey Johnson is reconciling with his wife, a week after she filed a criminal complaint of domestic assault and moved out of the house.

Shelita Johnson confirmed Thursday that she does not plan to pursue criminal charges or a divorce against her husband and is working on the marriage.

“Things happen in a marriage and you just have to come to a realization that it happened,” she told The Jail Report. “We don’t lie about it. We face it head on, and either we are going to deal with it together, or we deal with it separate, and we choose to deal with it together.”

Corey Johnson said the couple are still living separately but are working with the pastor that married them to reconcile.

“We are getting back together, talking every day,” Mr. Johnson said. “We are working on things to make our marriage better. I am excited about our future.”

The couple’s announcement comes after a rocky week that started with a fun night at a Mexican restaurant to celebrate Cinco De Mayo with some drinks.

Later that night, Shelita Johnson, 40, called authorities to their Woodland Avenue home, saying her husband physically harmed her after she refused to have sex with him.  Paramedics came to the house to look at the woman, who showed no visible signs of injury. Deputies told Mrs. Johnson how to seek a warrant through a pre-warrant hearing.

Corey Johnson, 41, told deputies that he was hugging his wife and kissing her neck. “Mr. Johnson stated he grabbed her arms to keep her in the bed. Mr. Johnson stated that he never had any intention to hurt his wife. … Once his wife said stop, he stopped,” the report says.

Corey Johnson said he has the pastor who married them on speed dial and plans to continue counseling. “He’s been helping us. We’re grateful that God is able to take something and put it back together. Because it’s easy to walk away. We are in this thing together. We know with God that all things are possible,” he said.

While they work on reconciling, Corey and Shelita Johnson both asked the public and the media for privacy.

“I would appreciate if people would respect us,” Sheltie Johnson said. “This is a personal matter even though he was a public person at one time. We can’t take his popularity away. … But this will be the last comment I make on the situation. And with Gods’ grace and mercy, we will get through it.”

A T.W. Josey High School football player has been arrested for statutory rape after getting a 15-year-old girl pregnant, authorities said.

Derrion Roney, 18, of Milledgeville Road, was arrested Wednesday for the misdemeanor offense involving the younger classmate.

The girl’s mother was alerted in March to the teen’s pregnancy by Josey officials, according to a sheriff’s report. The girl is the same one accused of stealing a teacher’s credit card to buy baby supplies, according to Schools’ Public Safety Chief Alfonzo Williams.

The mother complained to sheriff’s authorities, saying she was unaware her 15-year-old girl was sexually active. After the school alerted her, she learned of the sexual relationship between her daughter and Roney. The mother said she planned to have a doctor to confirm the pregnancy test and determine the date of conception.

Roney – who goes by “Gotti LongWudd” on Facebook – was listed as a wide receiver and defensive back on Josey’s 2014 football roster. He has been released from jail after posting bond.

22 Child Predators Caught in Augusta’s ‘Operation Mayday’

Nearly two dozen people – including a local jailer, a funeral home director and an extra in the TV show Glee – have been arrested in Richmond County for trying to meet a child for sex of the last four days.

It was called “Operation Mayday” and the undercover operation lured online users to the Augusta area from all over the region. The suspects thought they were meeting underage children for sex, according to a press release. Instead, they were caught in a months-long investigation by GBI agents and the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.

Everyone arrested was charged with criminal attempt to commit child molestation. More charges are possible.

The arrestees, ranging in age from 19 to 52, traveled from areas around Augusta and from South Carolina with the intent to meet a child for sex.  Some of their occupations included actor, funeral home director, tire salesman, electrician, software programmer, correctional officer, pharmacy tech, student and Deputy Jailer.

The purpose of “Operation Mayday” was to arrest persons who communicate with children on-line and then travel to meet them for the purpose of having sex.  On-line child predators visit chat rooms and websites on the internet, find children, begin conversations with them, introduce sexual content and arrange a meeting with the children for the purpose of having sex.  The children these predators target are both boys and girls.  In addition, the operation targeted those that are willing to exploit children by purchasing sex with a minor, and the recruitment of victims of child sex trafficking.  The proactive on-line investigation was a coordinated effort among all the law enforcement agencies to combat this activity.

The suspects (pictured here in alphabetical order of last name, left to right) are listed below.

1 (Top row, from left) Nicholas Sebastian Barber, from Martinez, GA, 23 years of age, occupation = pool attendant

2 Cody Allen Bondurant, from Martinez, GA, 23 years of age, occupation = actor

3 John Kenneth Crowley, from Augusta, GA, 30 years of age, occupation = unemployed

4 Travis Demond Driggers, from Louisville, GA, 34 years of age, occupation = correctional officer

5 Reginald Martinez Grubbs, from Waynesboro, GA, 40 years age, occupation = truck driver

6 Leon Cornelius Holley, from Grovetown, GA, 20 years of age, occupation = retail stocker

7 (Second row) Nicholas Michael Hopkins, from Evans, GA, 25 years of age, occupation = landscaper

8 Tyler Alexander Judkins, from Evans, GA, 19 years of age, occupation = student

9 Paul Ellis Kitchens, from Augusta, GA 44 years of age, occupation = funeral home director

10 Everett Ryan Lewis, from Baxley, GA, 21 years of age, occupation = laborer

11 Thomas Michael Moxley, Jr., from Aiken, SC, 43 years of age, occupation = tire store employee

12 Heather Elyssa Myers, from Fort Gordon, GA,  19 years of age, occupation = soldier

13 (Third row) Kyle Andrew Negus, from Augusta, GA, 26 years of age, occupation = software programmer

14 Cody Justin Pobanc, from Augusta, GA, 27 years of age, occupation = crane tech

15 Ruben Ellis Reese, from Martinez, GA, 52 years of age, occupation = Deputy Jailer

16 Jordan Blake Roberts, from Grovetown, GA, 21 years of age, occupation = Airman

17 Matthew Kyle Sears, from Augusta, GA, 25 years of age, occupation = tire store employee

18 Ian B. Selby, from Martinez, GA, 25 years of age, occupation = university student

19 (Bottom row) Christopher Anthony Titre, from Martinez, GA, 22 years of age, occupation = grocery store employee

20 Matthew Robert Tyndall, from Augusta, GA, 25 years of age, occupation = restaurant manager

21 Richard Dean Tyndall, from Evans, GA, 24 years of age, occupation = electrician

22 Jordan Andrew Waters, from Beech Island, SC, 22 years of age, occupation = pharmacy tech

Six (6) of those arrested also admitted to previous sexual contact with children, authorities said.  One offender arrived with two firearms in his vehicle.  Additionally, multiple phones and digital devices were seized.  Those devices will be processed and analyzed and additional charges may be filed after reviewing the results of that analysis.

From the press release: “The Georgia ICAC Task Force is comprised of 200+ local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, other related criminal justice agencies and prosecutor’s offices.  The mission of the ICAC Task Force, created by the U. S. Department of Justice and managed and operated by the GBI in Georgia, is to assist state and local law enforcement agencies in developing an effective response to cyber enticement and child pornography cases. This support encompasses forensic and investigative components, training and technical assistance, victim services, prevention and community education. The ICAC Program was developed in response to the increasing number of children and teenagers using the Internet, the proliferation of child pornography, and the heightened online activity by predators searching for unsupervised contact with underage victims. By helping state and local law enforcement agencies develop effective and sustainable responses to online child victimization and child pornography, the ICAC program delivers national resources at the local level.”

The Georgia ICAC Task Force made 185 arrests in 2014 and has made over 1,300 arrests since its inception in 2002.  The Georgia ICAC Task Force website is www.familyinternet.info and the GBI website is http://gbi.georgia.gov/.

Along with the GBI’s Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes Unit (CEACC), the Georgia Information Sharing and Analysis Center (GISAC) and the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, sixteen (16) additional law enforcement agencies and prosecutors’ offices participated in “Operation Mayday” as members of the Georgia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Another Evans Party Mom is Arrested; This One’s a Runner

Another Evans party mom is in trouble.

This time, it’s Courtney West, a 41-year-old woman who threw an underage drinking party at her home Friday night, according to authorities.

When deputies got a noise complaint at 134 Preakness Drive just before midnight Friday, West and a bunch of underage drinkers ran out the back door, according to a sheriff’s report.

But that was OK. Officers stopped 18-year-old Jordan Carter and a second teen, who both smelled of alcohol and confessed to attending the drinkfest. Carter said he drank three or four beers in front of West, the homeowner and party host. And the teen said that the lady had ran out of the house with the rest of them when deputies knocked on the door.

Eventually, West returned home and apologized to officers. “She heard her doorbell ring and panicked,” the deputy said. “Courtney West said that she misread the situation and feared the worst for custody issues with her ex-husband.”

An investigation showed West hosted the party and provided the alcohol to the individuals. Cops counted even cars in the driveway when they got there.

West was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The juvenile was turned over to his parents with  juvenile complaint form for minor in possession of alcohol and unruly. Carter was cited for minor in possession of alcohol and driven home.

The party comes a month after another Evans mother made news worldwide for throwing a drunken, naked Twister party for her teen daughter and her friends. She got busted after telling an Alcoholics Anonymous sponsor, who ratted her out.  In that case, 35-year-old Rachel Lehnardt was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor for allegedly providing alcohol and weed for the group of teens.

Aiken Mom Jailed for Raising 4 Kids in Unsafe Home; City Officials Say House is ‘Uninhabitable’

An Aiken woman was arrested on four counts of child neglect after a neighbor found the woman’s 2-year-old son last Sunday evening wandering the streets alone.

(For more crime stories, read this week’s Jail Report. Cover: http://thejailreport.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/Cover-Issue-651.jpg)

A caller alerted law enforcement to the dire conditions at the child’s home and an Aiken Department Public Safety officer was dispatched.

What the officer found at Rebecca Sue Sanders house were filthy, unsafe conditions for her four children.  The floors were covered with rotting food and the house, on the 900 block of Dexter Street, was infested with roaches, an Aiken Department of Public Safety report said.

Not only was it filthy, but the floors were badly damaged and the wood was rotting. There was also a foul stench the permeated the residence, the report said.

The officer met with Sanders last Sunday to find out why the little boy was out alone. She said he must have left the house when she wasn’t paying attention. The officer was concerned about the living conditions in the house, the report said.

The case was then handed over the Public Safety’s Juvenile Investigations Unit, who notified the Department of Social Services about the children’s situation. DSS did place the four, the 2-year-old boy, a 6-year old boy, a 9-year-old girl and a 13-year-old boy, with another caregiver, the report said.

An inspector with code enforcement was called in and the house was deemed to be uninhabitable, according to Public Safety Lt. Karl Odenthal.

Warrants were issued for Sanders, 27, and on Saturday she turned herself in at public safety. She is charged with four counts of unlawful neglect of children, the report said.

In anticipation of the holiday weekend and the onset of the summer months, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is reminding parents to be aware of the safety of their children as they drop them off at movies and other venues.

“We would like for parents to be prompt in delivering and picking up their children so they are not loitering for an excessive amount of time in parking lots and disrupting nearby businesses,” sheriff’s Lt. Allan Rollins said in a press release. “Our main concern is with the safety of these teens and the potential for harm from running into traffic, congregating with strangers, or simply being left alone for an extended amount of time.

“We have anticipated some of these events and will have enhanced patrols by deputies at various locations throughout the summer starting with Regal Cinemas this holiday weekend. Be assured these patrols are intended to insure safety and security but will address all of these issues,” the press release stated.

“As part of the support required for these patrols, the D.U.I van will be available as an onsite office as parents are contacted.”
