The mother of a Jamestown Elementary School student remained in jail Sunday for a third day for allegedly threatening the principal, authorities said.

Jasmine Childs, 32, of Dakar Drive, is accused of making the threats on Friday around 9 a.m. at the school, located on 3636 Hiers Boulevard in Hephzibah.

Principal Jermeka Ford told authorities that the parent had made threats to her and other staff members. Childs said she would spit in the principal’s face and kill her.

Authorities say the mother’s actions disrupted the school day, interrupting the beginning of classes. Childs was served with warrants for felony terroristic threats as well as disrupting the public school, a misdemeanor. She was being held Saturday at the Charles B. Webster Detention Center without bond.
