A Warrenville man was arrested this week after an investigation into child pornography, authorities said.
Martin Duncan Sr., 62, was charged Monday with 12 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
Last year, an Aiken County investigators discovered images deemed to be child pornography shared over the Internet, according to a sheriff’s report. The investigation led to Duncan’s arrest this week.
Investigators state that Duncan was involved in distributing child pornography. Specific charges:
- 2 counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, Second Degree (§16-15-405), a felony offense punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment on each count
- 10 counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, Third Degree (§16-15-410), a felony offense punishable by up to ten (10) years imprisonment on each count.
These cases are usually prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office. The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office, a member of the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, made the arrest.
Duncan remained Thursday in the Aiken County Detention Center without bond.
