Question: Why do your officers beat inmates like slaves, then lock them in the hole until they heal? They do a lot of dirty things to people behind them walls that people have no idea about. – Antonio Tyrone Knight
Sheriff Roundtree: Mr. Knight, you sir, are an idiot. The only reason that I reply to questions like yours – and trust me you are not the only idiot to have submitted a question, so do not feel bad – is because I want everyone who knows you to realize just how ridiculous you sound. I mean, here you have the opportunity to directly interact with the sheriff of the county, and your question is why do we beat inmates like “slaves” and throw them into a hole.
Since I have been in office we have not had one lawsuit or one attorney complain that their client was beaten and thrown in a hole, not even from you. My suggestion to you and all those you feel you represent is that if you stay at a place that you feel treats you poorly, here is the punchline: DON’T GO BACK! You’re welcome.
