A Martinez man bothered a sheriff’s deputy this week to report being flicked off.
According to a Columbia County report, Emad Francis honked his horn at a customer taking too long Tuesday evening in the drive-thru lane of CVS Pharmacy on Old Petersburg Road.
“Mr. Francis said the car in front of him was taking a long time to get their medication due to multiple exchanges of insurance cards to the pharmacy clerk,” the sheriff’s report says. “Mr. Francis pressed his horn in an attempt to make the clerk aware of the traffic that was accumulating behind him. Mr. Francis noted that in response of the honking of his horn, the driver in the car ahead of him stuck his arm out of the window and gave him a hand gesture, then drove off.”
Francis then reported the matter to the sheriff’s office and asked the deputy to document the other driver’s reaction. The sheriff’s office could not locate the other driver.
