Authorities have confirmed the identity of a woman found deceased Thursday morning in Beech Island as 39-year-old Delilah M. Quinones, according to the Aiken County Coroner’s Office.
Quinones was discovered in a state of decomposition in the 200 block of Blackstone Camp Road.
Chief Deputy Coroner Eric Ramey stated that officials were called to the scene around 8 a.m., where they recovered the body. An autopsy will be conducted in Newberry to determine the cause of death. No additional details have been released, as investigators await the results and notify next of kin.
Quinones, a Beech Island resident, was previously reported missing on Aug. 19, 2023, but authorities said she was eventually found. According to a previous press release from the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office, she was seen by her roommate near Swamp Road and Koger Loop. Authorities had asked the public for assistance in locating her at that time, noting she was known to frequent the Augusta area. A new missing-persons flyer was not released before this week’s discovery.
The Aiken County Coroner’s Office and Aiken County Sheriff’s Office are continuing their joint investigation into her death. Further information will be shared as it becomes available.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office.
