Major Drug Bust in Aiken County Nets 5 Arrests; Fentanyl, Guns and Cash Seized

A drug bust in Aiken County on Thursday led to five arrests and the seizure of crack, cocaine and fentanyl pills, halting the distribution of dangerous substances in the area.

The operation, carried out by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office, also resulted in the confiscation of U.S. currency and firearms.

Maj. Jason Griffin with the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the search warrant was executed at a residence on the 200 block of Pipe Line Road. During the operation, investigators discovered a stash house linked to drug trafficking, which led to the arrests of several individuals.

Charles Alexander Bush, 50, Jerrimiah Bing, 50, and William Joseph Caldwell, 44, were charged with trafficking crack, trafficking fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of a firearm or ammunition by a felon, and operating a stash house.

Dashawn Trevalle Hankinson, 31, was arrested on charges of trafficking fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, operating a stash house, and giving false information. Brailyn Shemar Tyler, 24, faces charges of trafficking fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, and operating a stash house.

All five individuals are being held at the Aiken County Detention Center, Maj. Griffin said.
